Christmas Foraging Walk & Wreath Making

3rd Dec 2021, 10:30am
Bootle Library

Christmas is nearly here! We are looking forward to celebrating in the library together again with a festive programme based around the idea of a low-carbon Christmas.

Join us for a green foraging walk to explore the winter foliage is on our door-steps. We will be gathering some foliage and then bringing it back to the library with us to include in our Wreath Making session with our friends from the Gateway Collective. You will learn how to make your own wreath, ready to take pride of place on your door in time for Christmas.

We will serve warm drinks and light refreshments but please bring lunch with you. Please wear sensible shoes and clothing for our walk. The walk will be gentle and on even ground.

BOOKING IS REQUIRED. Everyone is welcome, but there are limited places on our forage and wreath making session, so please let us know you would like to come.

All our workshops are free, but for Christmas we are asking participants to donate to Sefton Community Pantry. The Community Pantry is currently based in St Matthew’s church hall, Thornton Rd, Bootle and they provide food and hygiene hampers 24/7 to vulnerable families across Sefton. Please bring food or hygiene products with you to the library and we will deliver them.
